Upgrading Our Shop: New Edge Bender & Custom Paint Booth for Austin Custom Cabinets

At Solle Solutions, we’re always looking for ways to improve the quality, durability, and finish of every cabinet we build. This week, we’re making a major upgrade to our shop with the addition of a new edge bander and a fully custom paint booth system—two investments that directly impact the quality of our Austin custom cabinetry projects.

Why Shop Upgrades Matter for Custom Cabinetry

When you’re building custom cabinets in Austin, Texas, every step of the process matters—from design and drafting to cutting, finishing, and installation. Because we keep everything in-house, we have full control over quality at every stage.

That’s why upgrading our tools and systems isn’t just about efficiency—it’s about delivering better results for our clients.

The New Edge Bender: Precision & Durability

Our new edge bender allows us to finish cabinet panels with:

  • Cleaner, tighter edge seams
  • Increased durability over time
  • A more refined, professional finish

For clients, that means cabinetry that not only looks high-end but holds up to everyday use in kitchens, bathrooms, offices, and commercial spaces.

The Custom Paint Booth System: A Huge Step Forward

The biggest upgrade this week is our custom-built paint booth system.

Instead of a traditional single spray booth setup, we designed a multi-zone finishing system with:

1. Receiving Zone for Freshly Sprayed Panels

After panels come out of the finishing machine, they move directly into an enclosed receiving area.

Why this matters:

  • Keeps fine dust out of wet finishes
  • Protects surface quality
  • Prevents rework and imperfections

2. Dedicated Drying/Oven Section

Inside the same system, we created a separate drying chamber so panels can cure in a controlled environment.

This means:

  • Faster drying times
  • More consistent finishes
  • Better long-term durability

3. One Continuous Custom System

Instead of separate booths like we use in our Montreal facility, this Austin setup is one continuous, custom-designed unit with multiple zones working together.

The result is a smoother, more efficient workflow from spray to cure.

Why This Matters for Our Austin Clients

These upgrades directly improve what you receive as a client:

✔ Cleaner paint finishes
✔ Higher durability
✔ Faster turnaround times
✔ Consistent quality across every project
